Computed Tomography

A commercial computed tomography device providing a measurement volume of 30 x 30 x 40 cm is used to analyse crop structures non-destructively in 3D. Root systems, tuber arrangements and seed as well as shoot structures are analyzed in a resolution of approximately 1/1000th of the dimensions of the sample.
